Hanging at Dark Mofo

Tasmania is in the grip of Dark Mofo fever. The dim streets are bathed in red… gothic delights draw sell-out crowds… families trek through forests lit by flares… and revellers are eating and drinking their way through the Winter Feast! But festival goers are also ‘hanging out in the garden’, thanks to a quirky new attraction that is here to stay. The $5 million In the Hanging Garden kicked off Dark Mofo festivities. It has also kicked off a new cultural precinct that was two years in the making. Encompassing drinking, eating and live music, this new hub in Hobart’s CBD is further proof of Tasmania’s evolution as an island of creativity.
